India’s Biggest Formula Student Event conducted at Buddh International Circuit -BIC Gr. Noida

JK TYRE formula Imperial 2023 organized by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIEINDIA) and Co-organized by Galgotia’s University, Gr. Noida. 1200+ Engineering students from 16 states of India from 48 Engineering colleges participated in the Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Design and Manufacturing event.
The event aims at nurturing the talent for new age technology where students work under the mentorship of ISIEINDIA technical committee. Students work on vehicle design, vehicle dynamics, EV and HEV powertrain, IOT and AI based automotive telematics for innovation and safety features for the vehicles. JK Tyre Formula Imperial is promoting skill and innovation since 2013 and has become one of the oldest and pioneer initiatives and platform for engineering students.
The challenge for the competing teams was to design and fabricate a prototype vehicle that best meets the goals and intents stated in the competition’s rules. Over the course of a 5 days competition, jury of experts from the motorsport, automotive, and supplier industries judged the teams and their vehicles in areas of engineering design, new age technology led innovation for EV and HEV overall cost, marketability, and dynamic performance. On-track performance scores demonstrated how well the prototype race vehicles hold up under real-life conditions.
On 16th October 2016, after several static and scrutiny rounds vehicle reached for the grand finale of the event at BIC. Flagg of ceremony in the auspicious present of Shri Dhirendra Singh (MLA, Jewar), Dr. Dhuruv Galgotia, (CEO, Galgotia’s University), Mr. Vinod Gupta (Founder and CEO, ISIEINDIA), Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Head JK TYRE Motorsports, Mr. Ashoka from Bosch Global Software Technologies, VC , Pro-VC and HODs from Galgotia’s University.
Through this technology led innovative event tremendous performance has been recorded for this year. The Electric vehicle has achieved top speed of 92 KM/H and Hybrid vehicle achieved the top speed over 120 KM/H. The best acceleration performed by the Team Tyrants from GITAM University, AP in JK TYRE IKR CV Categories. Team Screwdrivers from Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Maharashtra at JK TYRE Formula Imperial.
The Award was presented by India’s 1st Arjun Awardee and 3 times Asia Pacific rally champion Mr. Gaurav Gill from JK Motorsports in the presence of Honorable Guest from BOSCH India, XPS INDIA, JK TYRE and Industries, Altair Engineering, NBC Bearing, Ease MY Trip, ANSYS.
In this season’s competition, we have introduced national record book to create Technological competition among teams, placement drives, entrepreneurship nurturing session, new age technology led innovation for Electric and hybrid vehicle powertrain, battery and BMS, BTMS, AI and IOT based vehicle telematics demonstrated by the teams.
